The Hope C2 was my first disc brake ever, as well. Had it on the front of a Hardtail and man did it suck balls.
Big thanks Guys.
This series has been top notch, both quality and quantity. Such adventurous spirits that you've definitely motivated me to get out riding at every opportunity. Sorry to see it end, but this project should showcase you guys in the absolute BEST light possible, and I look forward to more in the future, just in a different format and setting.
GREAT JOB!
Oh man... (Gathering my words).
Incredible Episode boys. The mood is ultra-epic, and the write-up/photos are the best yet. Riding in the first video is super burly (glad you stayed in one piece, Con-easy). Such a good job with Nick's edit, too. Superb angles. That trail is winter-mint.
I'm goin riding tomorrow and I am PUUUU-UUUUMPED!
Stevie, less than a second back... stoked!
That is a hand made, custom steel HT frame with a great build... every steel tube has been hand filed and welded by the guy who designed most of the Cove Bikes line. The paint job is by Paint House Customs.
The fact that this bike is not worth $5000 doesn't make the bike shitty. I am amazed by the skewed perspective of people who don't know what a quality MTB is. Who's the idiot??
@Barbour,
Great reference! I first learned of Pinkbike from that very Ride Guide Episode, so many years ago. Up to that point, I only had nsmb on the radar. Back then, pinkbike was based out of Calgary AB. Once it moved to the lower mainland (Vancouver area), it was unstoppable.
I think the spoon thing is a reference to "Alone in the Wilderness", the guy who hand builds the log cabin in Alaska. Dick Proenneke makes plenty of awesome spoons. I just so happened to watch that before this episode was released!
I meant Ultramontane is a gallery, a video medium and a forum for us to discuss issues such as the latest candidate for Captain Obvious...
Me thinks you guys cleaned up the bike room a bit for that shot...
Great job guys! Fishman and his lovely BK special are a perfect addition. This series is TRULY a "by the people, for the people" thing. No flashy race gear and bubba scrubs, just stuff that dedicated mountain bikers experience in the woods. There is nothing more inspiring than this. About Us
